Garbage Barge – Creative thinking

A contest was conducted for grade 3 children. They had to design a decorative/useful product. Here’s the catch: they had to do so using stuff that was going to be trashed! Children grabbed coconut shells, straws, packaging boxes, newspaper, plastic bottles, bottle caps etc.

Some children made pen stands. Some children made flower vases. One child created a working clock using bottle caps. Another child created a sling bag from a plastic bottle. Pretty impressive stuff, right?! As they say, imagination has no limit!!!
