Breathe In, Breathe Out: International Day of Yoga at School
Students from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary marked International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026 with yoga and quiet breathing on mats across the campus.

Breathe in, breathe out. On 21 June 2026, students across Vidhya Peetham i-School, from Kindergarten through to Senior Secondary, marked International Day of Yoga together. The school's focus for the day was peace and balance: stretching bodies and minds together for a healthier world.
Yoga across the campus
The photographs from the day show sessions in several parts of the school. The youngest children gathered on the sports ground, with bright mats laid out in long rows under the trees. Older students practised in an indoor hall, in a room lined with bookshelves, and along the shaded verandas and corridors. Almost everyone was dressed in white for the occasion.
What the children practised
Across the photos, students can be seen moving through a range of postures. Some stand with palms joined in front of the chest, while others balance on one leg with their hands raised above their heads. Some bend forward with hands and feet on the mat and hips lifted, some lie face down and raise their chests, and others kneel and fold forward to rest their foreheads on the mat.
Many of the pictures also show quieter moments. Children of every age sat cross-legged with their eyes closed and hands resting on their knees, taking time simply to breathe in and breathe out. In one indoor hall, students sat on their mats facing a projector screen.
Marking International Day of Yoga together
International Day of Yoga is observed each year on 21 June. For the school, it was a chance for every class level, from the youngest to the oldest, to stretch, breathe and pause at the same time, with a healthier world in mind.
