At Vidhya Peetham i-School, one of the top schools in Salem, we believe in making learning a celebration. On December 1, 2023, our Grade 1 champs took part in the ‘Eluthugalai Kondu Sol Uruvaakuthal Activity’, a thrilling journey into the world of Tamil letters and words and Tamil words spelling!

Armed with vibrant picture flashcards and a whimsical ice-cream vehicle chart, our little linguists were ready to dive into the depths of Tamil vocabulary.

Our dedicated educators prepared the letters and images, crafted ice-cream stick flashcards, and brought the vehicle chart to life.
? Outcome – Tamil Words Spelling
The air buzzed with excitement as our grounds transformed into a Tamil wordsmith’s wonderland. Each child, house-wise segregated for a friendly competition, had their eyes on the prize: becoming the best Tamil speller!

A week before D-day, our bright minds practiced tirelessly at home, twirling two-letter words around their tongues.
D-Day Fervor
On the activity day, the ground sparkled with colorful tables and a magnificent ice-cream vehicle, ready for the magic to begin.
Spell and Stick
Our learners picked a picture, like a lovable நாய் (dog), and hunted down the matching letters நா and ய். With a timer ticking, they rushed to stick the picture and spell the word on the ice-cream van chart.
? The Winning Twist
Every second counted as they pieced together letters within two minutes. In the end, the victorious house was cheered on, their teamwork and spelling skills unmatched!
